Cosmetic Dentistry
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dr. Myrick, his entire team and several colleagues recently completed a very comprehensive total mouth restoration for me. They went above and beyond in all aspects of my care. Unbeknownst to me, they met with a specialist to discuss my case and developed a detailed treatment plan that would address oral surgery, tooth lengthening and crowns that would preserve my oral health. My smile is beautiful and I will forever be indebted to this team! Forever grateful ?~ Jody Koch

When we think of cosmetic dentistry, we think of using techniques that result in a more beautiful smile. While this is oftentimes an outcome of cosmetic dentistry, it is typically much more. Teeth that have lost their structural integrity and / or alignment aren’t providing the desired chewing support or function. By replacing, recontouring or realigning these teeth, not only does your smile become more attractive, but you reap the benefits of fully functional teeth that will allow you to enjoy a good meal without pain and potentially with less likelihood of future dental issues.
Some of the procedures commonly used to rebuild your teeth and enhance attractiveness include the following:
Dental Implants (Tooth Replacement)
You may not realize how much a lost tooth or teeth can impact your everyday life until it happens to you. Suddenly the simplest things – talking, laughing, eating – can become much more difficult. With dental implants, you can get back to looking and feeling like yourself. A dental implant replaces the root of your tooth. It is a titanium post that is placed into your jawbone just like a root would lie. After the bone heals around the implant, a crown is added over the exposed part of the implant to provide the tooth above the gum that’s been lost. A dental implant restores the function and appearance of your tooth. Because an implant is placed directly into your bone, it offers an enhanced level of stability and longevity compared to other tooth replacement options. With proper care and oral hygiene, an implant is extremely long lasting and durable.
Dental Implants not only improve a smile by restoring a tooth that otherwise might be missing, but also the function of the mouth.
Veneers (Tooth Reconstruction)
If you’re interested in improving the imperfections of your smile, veneers are a simple way to adjust the size, shape, position and color of your teeth. Veneers are thin coverings that are placed on the visible (front) of your teeth. These look and feel just like your natural teeth. This cosmetic procedure typically requires 2-3 appointments. At the first appointment, Dr. Myrick will conservatively reshape the surface of your teeth, make a careful impression, and then apply temporary veneers while your permanent ones are created. When you come back for your next appointment, Dr. Myrick will try on the new porcelain veneers to assess fit and cosmetics. If you and he love them, they are bonded onto your teeth giving you a durable, brighter smile.
Tooth Recontouring (Tooth Restoration)
A chipped tooth can damage the appearance of your smile and may even provide an entry point for bacteria. Our team can repair these small imperfections with simple tooth recontouring. During this quick and painless procedure, we sand away a tiny portion of the tooth to alter the shape and eliminate minor flaws. Your perfect smile is just one appointment away.
Teeth Whitening (Tooth Enhancement)
We know that when your teeth are dull or discolored, you may not feel like smiling. You may have tried or thought about trying over the counter options, but now you are just looking for something that is proven to be effective. At our office, we use Zoom Whitening, or you can whiten at home with a custom-made tray (similar to a mouthguard) and Zoom Whitening products. Either way, you can expect to see a brighter smile in a very short time.
Dr. Myrick can help to give you the smile you’ve always wanted and help repair your teeth along the way. Call us at (850) 892-0866 or schedule an appointment online for a consultation.
